What an Always-Listening Pendant Does to How You Finish YourOwn Sentences

I've spent time with an AI pendant designed to listen through your day and surface useful moments later. The pitch is memory augmentation — a second brain for things you'd otherwise forget. What I didn't expect was the effect on conversation itself. Knowing something is capturing what I say changes how I say it — slightly more composed, slightly less willing to think out loud in front of another person, let alone a device. Over time I noticed I was "performing" a sentence for the recording before I'd even finished having the thought. That's a strange trade to make quietly. We talk a lot about AI replacing tasks. We talk much less about AI listening changing how we think in real time, before any task is even involved. If a device can shape the shape of your thoughts just by being present, that's worth noticing before it becomes invisible — which, for most habits, doesn't take long.
